a little life update

hey pals! I thought I would post an update about everything going on in my life these past few weeks and how I am adjusting to all of these new changes. I would like to start off by saying that I am truly the happiest I have been in a long time ( yes wow okay I actually mean it!!! ). This semester, I am taking the most amazing classes and I am making life-long friendships through my sorority. It is crazy to think how far I have come in just a few short weeks. In my last post, I was struggling pretty hard coming to terms with everything that was happening in my life. I was hurt, upset, but mostly confused. I knew that God had a plan, but I still could not understand why He put me in a place that I had never expected myself to be in. But I think that is the beauty in all of this craziness. No matter where I think I will end up or what I think my live will look like in the future, God knows so much more than I do, and I think that is so freaking awesome. Picture God creating you in his image, designing your life with his own hands, and watching you live that special life through him. What a concept. I have been feeling so grateful lately; not only for where I am currently, but for the amazing places that God is going to put me in the future. I just can't wait. Y'all. God loves us so much, and I am going to continue making it my mission to live my life through his reckless love.

My second semester of college has been so so good. I am currently a Corporate Communications major with a Journalism minor on the Public Relations track ( a mouth full I know ), and I am so obsessed with all of my classes. I am learning so much about writing, editing, and reporting, and it is so much fun. All of my classes are generally small, but it is such a cool vibe having my entire class bounce ideas off of each other and work collaboratively. I have 8am classes every single day which is not the greatest thing in the world, but I get out of class early everyday so it makes up for the early start. All in all, this semester has been awesome. I am learning so much, and I know I am making the most of my time at Baylor.

Baylor Alpha Chi is absolutely incredible. The women in this organization are the most down to earth, incredible, and God loving women I have ever met in my entire life. Ever since bid day, I have felt so loved and wanted in this chapter and it makes me so glad to know that this is where I found my home. I have always known that God had a plan for me here and I am finally seeing that. This week is basket week, and it is where our bigs get us baskets full of t shirts, gifts, and candy. It's like Christmas and I.Can't.Wait. I am so excited to see who my big sis is, and I cannot wait to get initiated into such an amazing organization.

So, there was a little update on my life for you guys. I have truly been the happiest I have been in a long time, and I know that it is only going to go up from here.
